      <image:title>About - Hi, I am Ana.</image:title>
<image:caption>I am an educator and researcher. I study the relationship between language and society in the context of schools. I started my journey in education as an English as a Foreign/Second Language teacher and have worked with bilingual learners in Costa Rica and the United States. Now, I am a college professor. I prepare prospective educators and support in-service teachers to create socially-just, linguistically sustaining classrooms. Language and Ponder is a space to debunk notions of linguistic and cultural deficit and to explore avenues for linguistic justice. It is a space to examine the links between language and power, and to weigh on what those dynamics mean for our advocacy and teaching praxis. This is a space for reflection, solidarity and transformation. Bienvenidos.</image:caption>
